We've just installed the live-update add-on.
It's defaulted to check every 20 seconds for updates in your messages, alerts, etc.
We will be playing with this timer.
So, if you see that line shoot across the top of your screen, that is the reload function. It won't effect anything else (won't refresh when you're writing a post, etc).
Hopefully, that helps us be a little more aware of when we are getting messages/alerts, etc. :)

We will be trying to get an add-on to hide the loading bar.
