Hello people! I re-emerge from whatever punishment that was (referring to personal events that kept me from most RP for a good while, no site drama here) with a very specific RP idea that has not been leaving me alone for a good stretch of time now. I hope that this one will help me get the gears rolling again so I can get back to other technically-still-ongoing writing just as well, but before I get ahead of myself I should probably introduce the idea to you, shouldn't I?
So you may have read the title of this thread and found yourself wondering whether you should have known the meaning of more than the first three. In this instance I believe these are left for me to explain. As a refresher, the Aether Foundation is an Alolan (Gen 7) organisation with a focus on protecting Pokémon. It is also the antagonistic faction of the games, thanks to the efforts of their leader Lusamine. The Foundation conducted Ultra Beast Research in secret, for which I have introduced the titular UBR subdivision. However, as not all things went to plan in that research, in this universe the foundation employed the help of certain Pokémon fusions done through experiments similar to those that led to the birth of Mewtwo in the hands of Team Rocket. One of such fusions was created in the project Dottore-15, this creation being MC.
The subject of Project Dottore-15 is a fusion between a Gardevoir and a Hisuian Zoroark, resulting in a being extremely sensitive to negative emotions to those around them and armed with the spiteful nightmare powers that the Hisuian Zoroarks have, only that they are amplified with a Gardevoir's innate psychic powers, resulting in actual reality warping effects rather than the more illusory sort that Zoroarks are known for. Officially Dottore-15 was not deemed as a success, for the planned protector was much too likely to go haywire when faced with a hectic combat situation, but nor has the subject been terminated. Yet. One imagines once many enough incidents come to pass, the patience of the project leads will wear thin enough for that to change. To clarify a little bit on the physique of MC, they are more like Gardevoir in their body shape with the colouration and extra fluffs of a H. Zoroark. If there are preferences within this restriction, I'd be glad to hear them out.
Your character is free to be either human or Pokémon that won't get us banned through the bestiality rules, but I do ask them to be female. I'm good for male; female; other, please specify as far as it comes to Dottore-15 though. I believe we can work with many different personalities, though do think about how the general plot ideas to follow would function with how you see your character acting. Dottore-15 can be the driving force to a degree, but the arrival of YC should still somehow be a major factor in all this.
For the RP itself, I am looking at an angle that starts from YC meeting with MC in the secret subdivision after a transfer. It will be a rocky start, with Dottore-15 not being a particularly cheerful sort and easily quite overbearing, but I hope the two will mesh in some positive way sooner or later. The two should be assigned to a similar research topic team/administrative duty, something to discuss once I know more about YC. Ultimately though, there should be a mass escape of Dottore subjects (not only 15) thanks to how they are always on threat of termination despite being innocent to their conditions. Whether that comes sooner or later (hell, even before they work together at all would technically function) is also up for debate. But afterwards, Dottore-15 will once more need some coaxing to trust YC again. After all, they betrayed someone they had worked with. What would now save the endangered one? But ultimately I do want them to learn to trust, and to work with the powers that they have, together with YC towards a better future.
