Hello, all you who continue to tolerate us!

Haha.

We have a question for all our 1 x 1 searchers.

Some people like to keep their threads clean of comments or requests, prefer people to PM them instead.
Others may not care.

So, moving forward, we want to know if you, the users, would prefer:

We block other users from posting on other people's 1 x 1 searches to keep it clean for only the creator themselves to post on.
OR
To continue to allow people to post on other people's search threads.

This is only for the 1 x 1 section, not groups (as groups require people to show interest through the thread).
It will only effect the 1 x 1 REQUEST forums (F for F, M for M, etc). It won't effect the discussions or actual public RPs.

Let us know and we'll make changes come our next update. :)

Extra:
We cannot add a lock-thread feature for use by users as it is not currently an add-on that Xenforo offers (not that I could find). So, we can only choose one of the two options stated above. If we had the add-on to allow the thread creator to choose, we would definitely go with that one. Right now, that add-on, to my knowledge, does not exist.

May I suggest a compromise? Allow people who want to allow people to continue posting on their search threads to do so, but then offer an option, similar to the ones for PMs currently, to be 'locked,' thus only permitting the OP to post bumps there? Would that be possible at all?

The reason I say this is that although personally I'm not a fan of folks posting in my interest checks, less options is always worse in my books, and people have different preferences.

That's, unfortunately, not an option given I can only do things already designed for Xenforo. Add-ons are made by people who understand coding, so I can only use what is already designed for the service. While I wish I could create that, I am incapable of it and it would cost a lot to find someone who could, so, sadly, we only have two options as of now.

That's a shame then, but I suspected some of that might have been the reason behind the two options. Ah well, I'll still put the vote in.
