My name is Lamia (also the name of my OC) and I have been engaging in literate role playing for twenty years. I started out old school on AOL and Yahoo! Messenger and even in the Yahoo! User Rooms. Those old enough to know what those are, I am glad to see you are still role playing!
When I write, I often prefer to think of the story as a "character study" and put the characters through various situations within the plot to see what will happen based upon my writing partner's response. I like delving into the psychology behind the characters. It fascinates me.
A bit about me outside of role playing: I am a mother of two and have a full-time job cleaning houses (I'm a compulsive cleaner, so my job is perfect for me). I went to college for psychology and sociology and then for medical assisting and phlebotomy and used to work in home healthcare. (I will eventually go back to working in healthcare, but for now, I am thoroughly enjoying my current job.) I love being outside; I like walking and hiking and I practically live on my front porch. I am a Norse pagan with Hellenic undertones, a Seidr and Galdr practitioner, and a belly dancer. I'm a wine connoisseur and avid coffee drinker and I enjoy life's simplicities.
Though I am often quite busy, I almost always make time to write. It is what I do to unwind and relax. While I won't mind writing in private messages on Writing Home, I do prefer Discord as a writing medium. If anyone has any questions or wants to chat, feel free to message me.
