Isn't it amazing how we come to these forums all gung ho to write stories with other people, but the most commom thing most all of us share is: "I suck at introductions."
Raise your hand high if that is, or even was, you. Odds are in my favor that the answer is yes, heck even I struggle with them. I think the key is a hook of some kind to reel 'em in, well this was my hook, and now you need to see just how deep the rabbit hole goes.
I am a male nearing 40 years of age, I am full of pop culture, scratch that, what used to be pop culture, references. I love to use movie quotes, or even sayings from my parents to answer basic questions. For "no" I replace it with "That's a negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full." Or "I'm disinclined to acquiest your request, it means no." Those are just two examples, and there is at least one Easter egg above from my 2nd favorite movie ever.
I love to write, I like to be creative, but after nearly 7 years of roleplaying I have found that my once well rounded set of likes/dislikes in terms of plots, pairings, and settings has grown increasingly small. A lot of that is due to bad experiences in the past, no I won't name names, no I don't hold a grudge. It takes two to tango, there are two sides to the story, and to say I am blameless would be a bold faced lie. Sometimes people just don't mesh well at all, 'tis the nature of life.
I hope to meet some wonderful creatures in this humble abode to my writing prowess. Until we meet have a great day.
