Notch enjoyed the kiss. He smiled at her and gave her a soft nod in agreement.
"Yes. We shall." he stated as he looked at the others and gave them a confirmation nod. Everyone pushed on the scissors and the ribbon was cut. Everyone erupted in cheer. Notch even clapped with the rest as he looked at Chucky and gave him a nod in 'a job well done.'
"Everybody! Let's make our way inside." Notch stated as he opened the double doors wide. The interior is lit nicely. The floor is a crimson red as planned. The walls are bright white with a dark gray marble texture. Notch stood to the side next to Chucky as Amelia stood on the other side with Amelia. All four shook hands with the guests and the rest of the gang as they entered one by one - or couple by couple. Notch looked at Chucky with a smirk.
"You're going to be a pop, huh?" he said softly. Chucky chuckled as he nodded.
"Yes I am!" he stated. Notch put his hand on Chucky's shoulder.
"I'm happy for you brother. Are you planning on retiring from the gang?" he asked. Chucky shrugged.
"I don't know. I haven't thought that far into it. I just found out after tha wedding." Notch's eyes widened.
"Oh. You really did just find out, didn't you?" he commented. Chucky nodded while supporting a smile still.
"I don't want ta leave, Notch but I don't want my family ta be a target by some bastard rival gang out for blood, ya know?" Notch nodded in complete understanding.
"The choice is yours, my friend. If you should decide to stay, we will have you and your family covered. We'll keep them safe." he stated. Chucky nodded.
"Do ya think it'll be enough?" he asked. Notch shook his head not knowing for sure.
"I can't guarantee that you won't bite the dust but I can make it damn hard for them to get your wife and baby." Notch honestly stated. Chucky smiled and nodded.
"I can live with that." he simply replied. Notch had a serious moment and looked at Chucky. Once the line of people entered the building, he nodded for Chucky to follow him away from the door.
"Chucky. I just said I can't guarantee that you won't be killed out there while doing your job." he stated again. Chucky smiled and nodded.
"I know. I heard ya." he stated. Notch let out a 'I can't believe this' laugh.
"You're nothing thinking about the big picture. You're going to be a husband and a father. That position is more important than any position you'll have at Crimson. Even bigger than being a boss. You thought that was hard? Be a father and a husband." Notch stated. Chucky looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"How tha fuck would you know? You ain't a daddy." he stated. Notch nodded.
"I know. Think about it. You lead a bunch of grown men. You went on heists. You run gambling joints. You killed people that betrayed us and our business. Now. You'll have to teach a little one how to talk. How to walk. How to pee in a toilet. They need guidance. They need rules. They need teaching and they'll need their father." he stated strictly. Chucky looked at him.
"Are ya telling me to leave, Notch?" Chucky asked softly. Notch shook his head.
"No. God no. I just want you to think about it before you make such a life changing decision. Your life is about to change. Drastically." he stated. Chucky nodded.
"I guess I better think about it..." he offered in resolution. Notch smiled and nodded.
"Take all the time you need. I don't want to lose you but I don't want them to lose their husband and father, either." Notch stated. Chucky smiled and nodded.
"Thanks." he said softly as he opened his arms. Notch opened his arms and both men hugged.
Coming up the street was the carpet salesman that saw Chucky rub the carpet on his face, and Chucky and Notch hug before. He stared at them a moment before approaching.
"Excuse me. May I see what you've done with the place?" he asked. Notch and Chucky quickly let go and fixed their clothing.
"Uh. Sure. Please." Notch stated after clearing his throat.
