Big Updates Coming! Woohoo!
New Moderator! Since we've finally passed 100-users (Go Us!), we have taken on our first moderator; Zverda! Zverda has taken an active role in this site since the beginning despite only being a registered member. She has been active in greeting new members via their statuses and the the introduction forum. She actively reported any found glitches when the site was still being constructed. She helped run tests while the site was adding new features. She actively uses the site to find Roleplaying partners. Her calm demeanor, kind personality, and desire to see this site grow made her an ideal candidate for the job. So, everyone, give her a nice round of applause (Woo!). You'll be able to spot her (and any future moderators) on the 'who's online' by the yellow color of their name. Don't hesitate to reach out to her if you're experiencing an issue or have a question. Just keep in mind that, like most people, all admins and moderators have a life outside the site and may not be on at all times. As we continue to grow, we will continue to add more moderators and helpers to the site. :) |
The Adult Forum will be opening this weekend! Since the start of Writing Home, it was well discussed whether we'd be introducing an section where adults can be...well, adults. A forum where you can post more explicit stuff (within reason and law). It has been decided that it will exist and will, hopefully, open either this weekend or early next week. To join, you will be required to contact UndeadEyes (me) to receive a quick rundown about what you will be joining. Please, do not contact me until you have seen the announcement that the forum is active/open. You will be required to read the rules of the forum closely. Though the content restrictions will be more relaxed, moderation of the forum will be strict for both site and user safety. |
Live Updates Coming Soon! Mentioned before, we plan to have live updates. We're hoping to install these within the next week (little delay from our original plan of this week). Live updates, if it all goes accordingly, will auto-update private messages and thread posts when new ones are posted, saving users the need to constantly press 'refresh'. However, we have never used this add-on before, so we will need to do some testing to see how well it works. On the off-chance it fails, don't get too excited. Haha. |
And that's everything for now!
Thank you for being members of Writing Home!
